Still life

Painting has big learning curve to it n i am just starting up....still trying to get colors work in harmony. Every time i touch a canvas with brush n paint, the feeling is so mixed. I just keep thinking to myself that i will make this painting better than other or with one stroke, i might just ruin this one. But these feelings go away as painting start coming to life n i start seeing something on canvas. And from there its just building up layers of paint n making it better. I still have a lot to learn in terms of composition, color n form but i look forward to learn n get better. For now i have few still life's i've been painting in the past month or so.

Pyramid of skulls

So i was given assignment of remaking work of a master painter and i chose Paul Cezanne.
He was a french artist & post- impressionist painter. I really enjoyed his paintings n thought would try to remake his Pyramid of Skulls. After hours of work i realized that it was no easy job but still i tried my best n here is the result.

first canvas!

So this year started with lots of new things n one of the best things was oil painting.
Its hard , time consuming, requires lots of patience & is hell lot of fun.
This is kinda my first oil painting on canvas....just a value and light study.
Still trying to get my hands steady with brush.
